We have an exciting opportunity for Head- (Loan Operations)with a Global Financial Company (NBFC) in Mumbai Location !!!

JOB SPECIFICATION:

This position is accountable for overseeing the centralized back end operations management of multiple
Loan products including the disbursements, loan life cycle management, re-payment monitoring & control,
custody management of consumer loan documentations, closing activities of large, complex credits, as well
as the administration of processes/systems supporting these activities and Loan Support functions. 
The incumbent shall utilizes his/her extensive knowledge of credit, risk management, loan processing, collateral
monitoring and lending compliance in directing the Loan Operations units, and also work with the
management to meet its strategic goals and objectives, design and development of appropriate processes,
bring efficiency, control and adherence to internal & regulatory compliances. 
The position will also handle other strategic projects assigned from time to time by the Chief Operating Officer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

 Oversees, mentors and guides senior leaders who manage the day to
day operations over multiple and varied loan products. Manage teams
performing various processes which are critical operations in Loans area
 Control on overall loan operations which will include Loan disbursement,
Loan management, Bank coordination and bank reconciliation,
Accounting, adherence to regulatory compliance and Internal
Compliance, Loan Closures, MIS, and Document Management.
 Design and Develop appropriate Loan processes whenever new product
portfolios are enabled in the market by the organization.
 Ensure proper segregation of duties, develop and maintain work flows
for all stages of loan processes.
 Managing and controlling the documentation process related to loans
with regards to customer and local authorities, Safe house management,
document custody and retrieval
 Assesses risks in all servicing processes, review control effectiveness
and improve processes for better customer experience as well as
stronger risk management.
 Develops procedures as needed, and overall coordination of department
workflow. Keep all operational guidelines updated and ensure
adherence to standards, procedures and identify risk mitigations
wherever there is a control issue
 Also, act in accordance with the inputs from Internal Auditor,
Compliance Officer for audit and compliance issues.
 Develops and executes against strategic plans, goals, and budgets that
aligns with the Company's mission, values, business model, and
Customer Centric Guiding Principles.
 Ensures that department activities are completed in accordance with
federal and state compliance requirements including disclosures,
reporting and record retention.
 Ensures loan documentation is delivered to and received from lenders in
a timely manner.
 Prevents operational losses by developing risk oversight strategy and
providing guidance to line managers for effective controls to reduce
financial, operational, compliance and legal risks.
 Conduct regular operational performance reviews and participate in
monthly self-assessments for all type of Loan products
 Drive process improvement initiatives focused on strengthening internal
controls and providing operational efficiencies. Analyze and review
operational processes to insure they are adequacy given the growth of
the organization. Develop and implement new work flows and processes
as needed and as necessitated by the organization's growth.
 Collaborate with Finance, Compliance, Credit Management Units, and
Regional or Local lending managers to promote clear communication,
streamline processes and resolve outstanding issues.
 Participate in all aspects of strategic initiatives including collaboration
across functions such as product teams, audit, business stakeholders,
technology and many other divisions.

Requisite Qualification :

1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business or equivalent field - Required.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 12+ years of experience in Loan or mortgage domain of which 4 to 5 years (min) at a leadership level
  • Good technical understanding of loan lifecycle management with deep understanding of Loans
    Servicing.
  • Expertise in Insurance operations
  • Extremely detail oriented, self-disciplined and able to manage a large number of staff with varying
    degrees of knowledge and expertise, as well as multiple diverse functional areas.
  • Skilled at organizing and leading projects and initiatives; comfortable working under pressure in a
    changing environment to meet varying deadlines, working independently and collectively within a
    diverse team environment.
  • Experience in delivering various process improvement projects
  •  Computer proficiency and ability to utilize IT/Process initiatives to achieve a high degree of operational
    efficiency, optimize costs and add value to the service provided
  •  Seek opportunities to improve service processes, minimize operational risk and reduce costs.
  •  Strong awareness of Risk Management framework to manage Operational Risks.
